It’s no secret that our film industry is filled with star kids. There are lots of families in Bollywood with a long lineage of actors, each having their own style and different portfolio of work. Today we will look at the top 3 father-son jodis that have impressed the audience time & again and won our hearts for several years.
Rishi Kapoor was an absolute charmer with his boyish good looks and natural acting. He gave us many memorable films like Bobby, Sagar, Karz, Khel khel mein and Chandni. Being from the first family of Indian Cinema, Rishi Kapoor was a good dancer and also had an impeccable sense of humour which translated to his brilliant comic timing on screen. Thus, it was only natural to have sky-rocketing expectations from Junior Kapoor.
And we must say that Rishi’s only son & Raj Kapoor’s grandson, Ranbir Kapoor has most definitely lived up to the generations worth of expectations. He is probably the best actor of this generation. Just like his dad, he is good-looking, a great dancer and an amazing actor. Ranbir was brilliant in all his movies right from Saawariya, Bachna Ae Haseeno, all the way to Barfi. Ranbir swept away all awards for Rockstar and Barfi and his next release is the much-awaited “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani”.
The first time Ranbir-Rishi performed together was on the stage of an awards show. They were extremely adorable. Wouldn’t it be just brilliant to see them act together in a film?
This has to be one Jodi where the son has surpassed all expectations and has made his daddy very proud. As an actor, Rakesh Roshan was decent but he is always better known for his directorial work. When Rakesh Roshan launched son Hrithik in Kaho Naa Pyar Hai, the whole nation went gaga at the sight of this dashing and talented boy.
With movies like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Guzaarish and Agneepath, Hrithik proved that his magic does not only work with Rakesh’s touch. Although we must say that his bestest performances had to be for his dad. Afterall, only a father knows his son best! Hrithik is currently working on his dad’s project “Krissh 3″ which is slated to be release end of 2013. Can’t wait!
3) Abshishek Bachchan – Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan is a legend and everybody knows that. Nobody has managed to live up to his body of work, as an actor till date. Whether it’s romance, comedy or the angry young man role, Mr Bachchan is one versatile actor which the Indian Film industry is so very proud to have. So with a father like Big B, it was very tough for Abhishek Bachchan to initially find a place in Hindi films. But with films like Yuva, Bol Bachchan, Guru and Paa, Junior B is already carving a niche for himself as an actor. We simply loved the adorable father-son chemistry in Paa and the underlying conflicts in Sarkar. They were also really good when they danced together for Kajra re and Bol Bachchan. Let’s hope they work together soon again.
