Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Discontinued Permanently
Samsung has recently announced to put a halt at the production and discontinuing the sales of its latest phablet Galaxy Note 7. The Korean company is facing a huge $17 billion dollars in lost sales revenue. Samsung has confirmed the official discontinuation of the Galaxy Note 7 in a filing with South Korean regulators.
The Company said,” Taking our customer’s safety as our highest priority, we have decided to halt sales and production of the Galaxy Note 7.” They also stated that,” We remain committed to working diligently with appropriate regulatory authorities to take all necessary steps to resolve the situation.”
This decision came when the Galaxy Note 7‘s replacement units also started catching fire in many incidents. most notably one on a Southwest Airlines flight 994 from Louisville to Baltimore, which had to be evacuated when a passenger’s replacement Note 7 caught fire. There were many complaints of the replacement device catching fire due to some battery issues which Samsung suggested.

Samsung has also urged to the current users of the Galaxy Note 7 user to power off the devices and do not use them because it will make them prone to risk.
Samsung is the major company in the smart phone world and this disaster of Galaxy Note 7 is a brutal damage to image and the reputation of the Korean Giant. Samsung has a large portfolio of low end to flagship smart phones to recover the loss and will soon get back to its track and take a lesson from this massive loss.
