Google Play Music Store Launched in India: Music Streaming Service
Internet giant Google has launched its Play Music service in India. This service was highly anticipated in India. Google Play Music Store has been launched in India on web and mobile app. After 5 years of debuting the service, Google has unveiled Play Music Service on its 18th anniversary event, officially. Android users can now download songs and stream mp3 songs via Google Play Music Services.
A single song can costs around Rs 15-18 which is the minimum amount, while whole album can be bought for Rs 75-140. The Google Play Music Service includes songs from old Bollywood movies to new Bollywood Pictures. It also has old and new album songs. Google Play Music Services user can also find a few categories like ‘Best of Bollywood, Indian Pop Hits, For the Kids and International Music’ etc. There will be a section of regional music as well like Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu etc
Now you can download your favorite local and global songs on Google Play Music in India, and you will also get free storage for up to 50,000 songs. But I don’t think that this service could go well as expectations of Google. The Monthly Subscription service still has the hope to capture some market in online music streaming services in India. But there’s no monthly subscription which gives access to the entire library.
In comparison of Google Play Music Services there are many other apps already available which can give a very tough competition in India like Saavn, Gaana, Hungama, Wynk Music and Apple Music Apple Music starts at Rs 120 per month for users, while Saavn, Gaana etc apps provide free music streaming but for download you have to pay for the premium versions of the apps.
