In this way now Facebook Messenger has provided End to End Encryption to the app just like Whatsapp and Telegram did a few months ago.
How to Get End to End Encryption
Facebook rolled out End to End Encryption on Messenger, allowing the users of the app to protect their conversations from being read by hackers, government agencies, or Facebook itself.To enable the End to End Encryption feature with anyone, you’ll need to start a Secret Conversation with that person. This option can be accessed by clicking the contact’s name in any regular conversation with the added option of setting a self-destruct timer on your messages

Facebook Messenger End to End Encryption Feature
Messenger uses the Signal Protocol developed by Open Whisper Systems to get an End to End encrypted chat with any person. Secret Conversation is absolutely separate from any other conversation between the two persons. Within a Secret Conversation you can share photos and stickers, while GIFs and Videos are still a no go. This new feature will only be available if both users have the latest version of Messenger

End to End Encryption Feature Availability
